CAFÉ VARELA, is one of the famous and historic cafés of Madrid at the end of the 19th and 20th centuries. The most illustrious and varied characters of Madrid’s social life from different eras have passed through their tables. In their well-known gatherings, they met among others, famous writers such as Pío Baroja, Machado, León Felipe or Emilio Carrere.
